In an effort to quickly explain the cruise disembarkation process at each port, I'll just state that the instant the ship arrives, utter chaos ensues. Everyone wants off, and now! The line down the gangplank is extra long, and when you finally arrive on solid ground, it's easy to see why. The ship's photography staff, usually wearing a pirate costume or something equally ridiculous, are stopping each passenger to take a port-themed picture. We take the photo and move on, eager to see all of the sites.
Although the photos are annoying, we had honestly forgotten all about them, until one night when Sean and I were walking through the ship's photo gallery to get to a comedy show. There were hundreds of passenger photos on display, and they were awesome. We laughed and laughed, and then, karma laughed at us. I won't even tell you what we had to pay to secure the rights to this lovely jewel:
Holy awkward hand placement, batman!
The first three ports, The Bahamas, Aruba and Curaçao were really gorgeous and had warm, clear water. We snorkeled with lots of tropical fish, rented cars (or other vehicles) visited all of the famous landmarks, tasted the local fare, and shopped for the obligatory magnet for the fridge.

Watching the tender boats take passengers to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.
Curaçao's Queen Emma bridge, which they call The Swinging Old Lady. They allow people to stand on the bridge as it swings opened and closed for ships.
The Dutch influence in Aruba.
Most of the fruits and vegetables come by boat from nearby Venezuela. They pull the boats right up to their market stalls.
With only a single guard in the driveway, this is Curaçao's White House.
Teague really wanted to drive this badboy. He had to settle for backseat driver.
My one regret is that we didn't opt for an excursion on the Party Machine!
