Why yes, there are plastic jugs on top of these cars. This is how Argentines draw attention to a car that is for sale. 'For Sale' signs are apparently sooo North American!
The only piece of info about your potential purchase is the owner's phone number, which they scribble on the jug. It would be far too simple to actually list the price or other car details, and simple is not the norm here.
Peugeot anyone?

okay...that is really weird. How do you learn all these quirky customs? Is there some kind of handbook?
I didn't even get to the jug due to the parallel parking job on the first car.... you could barely fit a credit card between it and the other cars...what if a house is for sale?? A gallon of paint on the roof?
