In my humble opinion, sand between the toes beats just about anything! We decided on Sanibel Island to ring in the New Year--it's a quick trip West across "Alligator Alley" and is just a charming little area. We celebrated Florida-style, trying out stand-up paddle boarding, which, by the way, is fun, but much more difficult than it looks. Aside from the pesky no-see-um bug bites, we had a great time.
To say that 2013 flew by is an understatement. I have trouble believing that we've lived in Florida almost a year now! We're looking forward to some exciting family events this year--a high school graduation, weddings, new homes, new jobs, and hopefully lots of visitors!
