Teague and Sean have been waiting on cooler temps (read: fewer bugs) to test out our camping gear on US soil. This weekend the weather cooperated. They set out for the Flamingo Visitor Center at Everglades National Park and from there kayaked to an above-water camping platform.
Teague had a lot of fun and was amazed and excited that he saw a Peregrine falcon in the wild. Sean was amazed and relieved that they didn't see gators or snakes.
This was the first time in over 7 years that I've had an overnight completely to myself. It was glorious.
