Road Trip-Rosario

Monumento Nacional de la Bandera (National Flag Monument)

A nice little road trip was a great way to break in the Argentine highways and see just how available things like gas stations and hotels are outside of the Buenos Aires province. I am happy to report that they weren't dirt roads littered with chicken coops. For the most part, the roads are in decent condition. We did encounter a tire burning protest/road block on one stretch, and two gas stations didn't actually have gas, but that's to be expected.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rosario and spent some time at the beach, despite the fact that it's called the "Rio Parana". The city itself was picturesque and we found plenty to do.

This statue adorned the top of an old building and could be seen above the tree line.


For a split second I thought I saw an American place to eat...alas, it was just "Pizza Hot", a less tasty Argentine establishment. Conveniently located next to Hamburguesa King and Empanada Bell.
