Each year, the school rents out a frou frou Broadway theatre and each class performs a dance number, complete with elaborate costumes. The fact that the teachers were able to wrangle a couple hundred kids through seven dance numbers was downright impressive. I know that we'll never see anything like this again, unless Teague becomes a cruise ship performer one day.
Teague's class, the 5-year-olds, got a chance to showcase their newly acquired English skills. Each classmate participated in a portion of the show's narration and recited a sentence in English. The award for the child who sounded the most American...did not go to Teague. He has a habit of pronoucing things in English with an Argentine accent while at school, and even though we coached him at home, he sounded a lot like Speedy Gonzalez.
After each narration came the class dance numbers. The boys in his class danced to "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 and the girls to Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory".
So many things going on here. Not a J Lo in the bunch.
A sampling of the other class costumes. The 3-year-olds were colorful skort aliens.
When the show ended, the 5-year-old parents were asked to stick around for a surprise treat. The curtain rose, and the kids were all wearing graduation caps. I lost it, and I mean the ugly cry kind of losing it. They had a graduation program with diplomas and a tear-inducing poem that the kids recited. This particular group of kids and parents have been together since age 2, and will now be split up, attending different schools throughout the city, so it was quite an emotional experience for everyone.
Teague had a great experience with this school and will miss all of his friends. The night was very special and we're so glad that he could be a part of it.

I always look forward to the post about the end of year show! It just looks SO AWESOME! You know the crummy little school programs he's in are going to seem so boring now. Also, I love that first picture! Ha!
this almost made ME cry! wow, what a way to say goodbye to Argentina ey?! At least Teague won't stick out too much in FL ;) which will be good, considering connor hasn't lost his thick german accent yet either!! ;)
