Teague Time

We couldn't drag Teague on two long flights to see literally everyone and their mother and then on a 3000 mile road trip without carving out some "Teegy time". Not only did he miss out on his Argentine summer break, he had to deal with flu season and some new-to-him North American germs straight away. The poor kid has dealt with a lot of change in the past month and has been a real trouper.

After our final stop in Texas, we had two rather lengthy days through some real gardenspots in Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama before finally making it to Florida. We noted numerous Elvis billboards, tons of catfish references and even some shopping plazas with not only a Hooters but a Walmart and a Liquor Barn. One stop shopping.

Since we pretty much had to drive near Orlando, there was no way we couldn't stop, at least for a day. Teague has been talking about orcas nonstop since we went whale watching, so Sea World was the clear front runner; "obvio" as they say in Argentina.
It was really fun to spend the day together (outside the car!) and enjoy the park. Sea World puts on some fantastic shows and has an awesome variety of things for kids. Teague is now just tall enough to go on most of the rides, and got to go on his first water ride, where he got completely soaked and begged to ride again.
                                                     The manta ray touch tank.

After our day here, Teague is now talking nonstop about the place. We will definitely be back again--those Sea World whale trainers had better watch out!
                                                 Spinning around and around.

                                                   The manatee nursery.

Thanks for a great day, Sea World!

I'm happy to see that you had some adventure a long the way to Miami.
That stretch through Louisiana etc. can be soooo boring! Hope your move in is going well.
