Meet our kayak. Teague named it Aquamarine Lightning McQueen. Yes, I realize that it's neon green. If only I could have paddled Teague to school, we would have saved ourselves a couple months of bus/carpooling headaches! Nonetheless, we have grown very fond of AL and spend a lot of time on the weekend with him.
Sean caught this pelican mid-flight.
Because the ocean can be a little rough, and we had a bit of rollover in the heavy surf incident, we have been kayaking in the calmer bay and exploring the canals around Bay Harbor Islands and Miami Beach. Last weekend, there was a big dog on the dock of one of the houses along the bay. When he saw us, he jumped into the water and swam out to our kayak and then swam back to his owner on the dock.
