Swim Fan

Sean completed Swim Miami's 5K race on Saturday. Friday night and into the early morning there were heavy rains with thunder and lightning. When we woke up, we made other plans and assumed the swim would be canceled. A couple of hours later, it was just gorgeous, and the race went on as scheduled. The weather couldn't have been better!

Teague played with his friend Dylan while Sean and Dylan's dad swam.

Though he has been TDY for the past month and was unable to train as much as he had hoped, he rocked that race! I am pretty happy that his open water swims will now decrease significantly, mostly because of sharks. I worry a lot about sharks. He typically swims early in the morning or after work at dusk (Shark Week says these are prime shark times) and it's typically when there aren't other people in the water. Yes, this scares me! Sean has never seen one while swimming, but he says he does scream "like a little girl" when unexpected fish or seaweed brush up against him. Better you than me, dude.

He swam for an hour and a half.

1st place...in the hairy chest division.

Lunched afterward with friends at tasty Scotty's Landing.
